Google Knol: Wikipedia Challenger? Google has released its latest offering: Knol! Just like Wikipedia, Knol will depend on the users to generate content. You can add a Knol (as in Knowledge) on any topic with the standard exceptions of Pornographic, violent, copyrighted content. Other users can then review your knol and also add comments. Although similar in nature, it would be tough for Knol to replace Wikipedia. Just like Google is the first thing that comes to mind when you want to search for something, in the same way Wikipedia has become the default choice for doing research on any topic. Google would be hard pressed to supplant this with Knol.
